At the time I first learned of the term "twin flame," I read this one over and over again. I would like to quote here and add what is generally said and what I feel.

Of course, this is the perspective of a Japanese spiritualist. It may be a little different from that in your country.

Stage 1: Recognition (Encounter) 
Phase 2: Testing 
Phase 3: Crisis 
Phase 4: Runner and Chaser (separation) 
Phase 5: Letting Go (Purification) 
Phase 6: Awakening 
Phase 7: Harmony (Reunion)

Stage 4: Runner and Chaser 

I sincerely wished, "I don't want to lose you. 

But this is a conditional love that says, "I love you, so don't run away from me," which in turn is a conditional love, right? 

My emotions run wild. The word on the street is ego runaway. 

All the negativity that has been pent up in my heart comes to the surface, my emotions explode, and I become even more mentally unstable and scattered. In particular, one or both of the twin flames will become emotional, fearful, angry, guilty, inferior, and so on, and the hurt will be unbearable, and the heart will be in shreds. 

 This pain is so intense that it can be described as soul-level pain. Unable to bear it, one of the twin flames cuts off all means of communication and tries to escape from the other. 

The one who runs away is called the runner. The other attempts to repair the relationship, and tries to pursue the runner, but without success. This is called the chaser. 

The chaser is deeply hurt by the runner's unexpected behavior and does everything possible to find out why. 

This period of not seeing each other is called the separation period. 

This adjustment period will promote the chaser's spiritual awakening. However, the battle with the ego is very difficult and many twin flames have a hard time moving on to the next stage. 

I was indeed a chaser. 

Generally speaking, female twin flames are often chasers. 

I still remember the feeling of despair of being thrown out into the darkness. I still remember it. Well, eventually, as they walk their own paths, they learn many things from each other. 

 And because they are two halves of the same soul, even though they are separated, their feelings for each other are transmitted through their subconscious and they strongly support each other's hearts. 

 In my case, I often suddenly felt his smell and really missed him...
